Since I began my astrophotography journey as a kid with Nikon Action 10×50 binoculars, I always wanted to share amazing sights of coments, clusters, moon, mountains, plants and animal life with others. I think this also drove me to get into astrophotography. Recently we are hiking a lot with my kinds and I always take beforementioned binoculars with me. Sometimes some sights are even better up close with better zoom, so I was thinking how to make a product to enable this for any pair of binoculars and phone. Usually, phone clamp brackets are very specific and somewhat clumsy. Thats why I wanted for this mount to be kind of universal.
We achieved this with 3d printed magnetic plate, attached to the binoculars, in combination with ferromagnetic phone sticker. You can check it out in action below.
