Flat frames are crucial part of astrophotography to remove vignetting and dust moths from your data. Making flats can be quite cumbersome, especially if you stride towards automation and simplification of the process. Our first ASIAIR supported flap panel makes making flat frames with your telescopes part of automated routine, without hacks like LCD screens, sky with T-shirt etc.
To solve this we offer 3 ranges of flat panels:
- motorized flap panels – for telescopes up to about 130mm diameter, open/close and brightness controllable via ASCOM/Indi, optional integrated dew heater
- wall mounted – for larger telescopes, in various sizes, brightness controllable via ASCOM/Indi
- lens flat panel – manual flat panel for lenses, adjustable for different diameters, brightness controllable via ASCOM/Indi
Main features of our flaps:
- LED technology, to achieve good uniformness and great brightness range – including very dim settings for long exposures
- Magnetic snap-shut system, to keep it closed
- Attached with compression ring via hand tightening knob (no tools required)
- ASIAIR compatibility with our special cable
- Optional heater, to prevent dew accumulation on the surface of the LED light

TIP: For telescopes with an aperture larger than 125mm, we recommend attaching the flap in a sideways or upward position. This ensures that the magnets can properly reach the LED ferromagnetic sticker when opening.
