First steps

  • plug in 12V DC or POE cable, wait 30-60s
  • on your phone or laptop select indi-allsky Wi network and enter
    default password: 12345678
  • once the connection is established, browse to
    https://raspberrypi.local
  • once indi-allsky interface opens, click login in bottom left corner
    and enter default credentials (username: dsd, password: 12345678)
  • Under Config -> Location tab, enter your Latitude, Longitude and
    Elevation
  • Under System -> Time select your timezone under New Timezone and click Update Timezone
  • If you will be using Wi for your main connection, navigate to Tools
    -> Network and add your network. Once main connection is
    established (Wi or Ethernet), you can navigate Sytem ->
    Information to look up the assigned IP address. From now on, you
    can access your camera on this IP.
  • Enjoy!

Updating the system

  • first you can try unmanaged update under Utilities -> Upgrade. If this fails, please follow the procedure described in the indi-allsky Wiki: https://github.com/aaronwmorris/indi-allsky/wiki/Updating-indi-allsky

Changing the camera

  • swap the camera out and connect the new camera with USB cable to any of the Raspberry Pi ports
  • go under System -> INDI drivers and select the driver of the camera vendor in question (e.g. ZWO ASI, PlayerOne,…)
  • Confirm selection
  • Reboot the system (under System -> Utilities)
  • The new camera should connect now successfully
